Hello everybody,
due to a bug in the logging E-mails with an originator having MAIL FROM:
with invalid MX-Record, SPAMCONTROL 1.4.0 may eventually yield a
qmail-smtpd crash (segmentation fault) depending on your logging scheme.
The bug was already introduced in version 1.1.0 but became apparent
Title: problems with the spamcontrol patch
Hi,
I have installed the spamcontrol patch to a base install of Q-Mail and most things seem to work fine.
However, there is one problem. When I put in an invalid senders (MAIL FROM) address to a SMTP connection, it closes the connection and does
Hi all,
I'm using Erwin Hoffmann spamcontrol patch and now I'm trying to bloc
addresses without @ without bloquing void addresses (mail from: )
which are used in bounce mails and can't be bloqued.
I've tried to put

Is it a bug in the spamcontrol patch or am I doing somthing wrong?

If you install qmail as per the included documentation, you won't be running an
open relay. How will looking at RFC 2505 convince anyone otherwise?

qmail, when installed according to the instructions, is not an open

Hi,
I've just setup a new Qmail-1.03 server running tcpserver and the
SPAMCONTROL patch I received from Erwin Hoffmann. When I test my mailserver
at http://www.abuse.net/relay.html it still failes at Relay test 6... so it
seems the patch is not working. What could be wrong?
