Greetings again oh qmail guru's
I posted a question last week about getting an "unable to exec qq" error
message.
I got one response that suggested that it was a permissions problem and
that I run Eric Huss' queue-fix. Well, I did that and it reported that everythin
rk.

An Alta Vista search on "operation not permitted" yielded lots of
hits. It seems to be related to IP firewalls.
You might try "strace /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue" to see more detail
about where it's failing.

But can you strace a suid binary as a normal user? I think not. The
solution I came up with was to strace "setuser user
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue" a

trying to replace sendmail with qmail, but it just hasn't been working
(bounce messages weren't working; neither was smtp). I sought through the

This one caught me too the other day. The message is a shorthand for "Unable to execute
qmail-queue". In my case,
(this was on a Cobalt Linux box), /var - under which qmail
was installed,
ple what I found (the same messages [w/different
time stamps] are there repeatedly):
In the qmail log file:
