Hi there,
I hope I wasn't late to give my tips.
Once I had this problem, and since I do not want to increase the logsize
and logcount control file, the I create a script to backup qmail log
file tar.gz-ed into another folder.
you can see my script on
Greetings List,
I have 2 questions i couldn't find a reply, may you please help me?
1) I'd like to know if it's possible for the users of a domain change
their e-mail password (and if yes, how).
2) Is it possible to crypt (and encrypt) all the e-mail on the server?
(and if yes, how)
Thanks
Hi there,
As to the first question, qmailadmin allows for that. It is included with
qmailtoaster and allows people to set various settings such as autorespond,
forwarding, password, etc. People log in using their email (split in local part
and domain part) email password.
As to the second, I
Hi Eric,
I was thinking since you said that there are connections with database, I now
remembered that squirrelmail from source instance uses mysql database for its
address book. I think the database and squirrelmail is not configured on the
destination machine.
Will check it and restore the
Greetings list,
I have recompiled vpopmail without the damn pw_clear_passwd. I've used
the standard script cnt5064-install-script.sh and modify it like so:
if [ $PROCEED = y ]; then
rpmbuild --rebuild --with $DISTRO --with disable-clear-passwd $VPOP
rpm -Uvh
Hello,
Does anyone know if QMT can handle
wildcard domains in the badmailfrom file?
ie
.adomain.com
rather than
@server.domain.com
Tom Clegg has a patch so if anyone has used it
does it wiok please?

Good thinking. If there's no delay using another client (eg TBird) with
migrated users (have you tested such?), then you may have found the
culprit. :) Let us know.

I wonder if Alberto was meaning encryption during send/receive
operations. If that's the case, the answer is that QMT uses TLS
encryption whenever it's available. If you use spamdyke, you'll see an
indication in the smtp logs whether encryption is being used or not for
each connection. If you

Several packages depend on vpopmail and recompiling it may require you to
recompile the other packages, too? E.g. qmailadmin - don't know about
others. Also, I do not know how vqadmin and qcontrol work. If they use the
shell commands vpopmail contains then all should be well, but if they access
Right.
Packages which are dependent on vpopmail-toaster are:
qmail-toaster
qmailadmin-toaster
courier-authlib-toaster
courier-imap-toaster
and these should be rebuilt and reinstalled. qtp-newmodel can do this
easily for you.
Removing clear text passwords has other implications as well. IIRC,
