I had a similar problem. I am on a VPS. I had to change the hostname
in my VPS control panel before it would stick. Maybe your system is
set up in a similar way.

When I rebuilt/reinstalled simscan-toaster to fix the mailformed header
problem, it clobbered my simcontrol file settings (they were backed up
by qtp-newmodel though).
Jake, that file should probably be coded as config(noreplace) in the
spec file. No?

Here is where my confusion comes in.
If I look in the SMTP log, I see that a message is scored a 2.10 on the
SIMSCAN line. When I look in the SPAMD log, I see the message is scored a
-98.
If Spamassassin is giving both scores, why is there a difference in scores?
Thanks,

Sounds like the lock files might have screwed things up. I'd make sure
there's no unison running, then remove all the lock files on both sides.

Thanks Eric. Now I have to figure out why Spamassassin isn't scoring these
emails lower as I have them in my local.cf as a whilelist.
Thanks,

Simscan is just a controller of sorts, that invokes spamassassin (and
clamav). SA does all scoring.
Yes, the score in the smtp log is simply what spamassassin determined,
and passed back to simscan.

What I have been looking for is coming from SIMSCAN. Example:

Am I incorrect in this? Is this actually a report back to the SMTP log of
All,
What I mean is that something gives the email an initial score before it is
run through Spamassassin (If I am remembering correctly). I can see it in
the SMTP log. When I look at the same email in the SPAMD log, I see that it
has a -98 score (which it should). If that inital score is above
