1. How can we stop allowing users to permanently delete mails from our mail
client like Purge or Shift delete?

Yesterday you were installing maildrop-noauthlib-toaster. This is a
version of maildrop that does not conflict with dovecot installs as
maildrop-toaster did. In fact, dovecot is a requirement of 'noauthlib.'
As of dovecot-2.2.7 on the old mirrors for QMT, dovecot removes

That is what I would do if you'd rather have Courier, but
maildrop-noauthlib-toaster REQUIRES dovecot as maildrop-toaster requires
courier-imap, courier-pop3, and courier-authlib. So you will have to go
back to maildrop-toaster and remove maildrop-noauthlib-toaster. I may
have to move maildrop-
On the other hand, I might just remove the Dovecot requirement in
courier-noauthlib-toaster.

And, It looks like courier is still running, it needs to be stopped,
find the processes and stop them
