Further checking logs, /var/log/qmail/smtp *tcpserver: fatal: unable to figure out port number for smtp*
So I run: qmailctlstat clamd: up (pid 994) 100 seconds send: up (pid 996) 100 seconds *smtp: up (pid 1816) 1 seconds* spamd: up (pid 990) 100 seconds submission: up (pid 989) 100 seconds clamd/log: up (pid 995) 100 seconds send/log: up (pid 992) 100 seconds smtp/log: up (pid 998) 100 seconds spamd/log: up (pid 991) 100 seconds submission/log: up (pid 993) 100 seconds Run it a few seconds later and : smtp: up (pid 1999)*0 seconds* I can run: telnet localhost 587 ,, correctly shows info but: telnet localhost 25 ,, connection refused Cheers MaddMacc
