I've found the same issue under Fedora 10 running 32 bits.
I've created a "/usr/lib64/" and inside inside it I've created a soft linkto /usr/lib/mysql named mysql. It did the trick but I don't know what willbe the consequences...

It's a test computer. Running on WinXP64. With VMWare. In one VM it's
running the fedora_10 with the mail server. Inside this WM it's 32bits.
But I cannot confirm this 32bits status anywhere.
