I don't think it's chkuser, as I see this in my log:

QMT is accepting the message ok. It's the Exchange server that's complaining about what QMT is sending it.

Need to find out what's causing Exchange to throw the 5.5.4 error. Is there some way to log/trace this on the Exchange end? If not, perhaps recordio can be hooked up on the send side of QMT. I've only used recordio on the receiving side of QMT, so I'm not sure if that's possible. You might try whatever sniffing tool you can use to see where in the session Exchange is choking.

Is there anything out of the ordinary about the message? Can the sender send a simple message with a little text?
