I had some gut instinct that there was an underlying problem.
So I installed a root kit checker, damm well found 4 different root kits.
I have also read that the best way to remove is Reformat, Reinstall, make
sure fire wall is set correctly.
Does ClamAV not find

Does qmail toaster need port 2000 to be open.
When I run
nmap -sT -O localhost
It show various open ports , most I know,
but not sure about port 2000

I don't believe so, at least not at this point in time. According to

It does not. At a bare minimum for email and pop3, you need 25 and 110.
2000 is not used at all.
