Not sure I follow. The vsftpd package has nothing to do with
QmailToaster. Why would this be a dependency?

Because in qtms-svcs.sh Nick has the following:
chkconfig vsftpd on
service vsftpd start
which generates errors during install.
I looked at it as the package is missing but since its not 'really'
required on a strict email server than I guess it should be remo
