Hey Jim,
have you thought of writing your own list item which has two columns? Thats
easy and not too much work but has some restrictions. But its much less work
than writing a custom combo / select box!

I have tried the contrib and i have to congrats with you, probably is
the best backend for qooxdoo that i have tested, but despite the
documentation, is not so simple.
I have get it working but i have some problem (many of them because of
my little knowledge of java / eclipse).

I am having troubles using the "qx.ui.table.Table" class in Qx version 1.4.1 in
a debug (!) build.
As soon as the implementation needs to create a table pane scroller for a table
(or a TreeVirtual) I get the error "Error: TypeError: Object doesn't support
this action" as soon as the "new" s
I solved my problem by adding this to my _createChildControlImpl function:
control.setAppearance("centeredtabview/barcontainer");

To take it one step further, why not introduce a filter method as well,
which would return an array containing all the 'found' elements.
