It's unlikely that debug would be switched on. I have it on here, and
there are bugs from quite a number of websites. If lots of users had that
switched on then I think there would be fewer websites with JS bugs.

Dietrich has a problem with proxy servers that strip out the compressed
form. In that case anything intelligent at the server isn't going to work.
Unless, of course, the proxy server rewrites the "accept-encoding" header
and removes gzip. If it didn't it's breaking the HTTP protocol and
deserves not to work anyway...
