I can say that extjs seems to have more relevent/usable demo's.
The dragable portal like interface, web desktop, image library, dialog
boxes, progress indicators etc.
First impressions go a long way and I have no doubt that many people who see
these demo's are thinking that they can lift these ex

I already startet such project, but such a huge project - so little free
time (and I was never good in writing long on one program...)
A bad coded alpha is still available at http://rubyweb.de/qxweida/

Ooops, yes I have overlook (Derrell ;)) that you have already started
with a project. We should definitely combine the free resources here.
There already other parts of code existing which may be helpful, too:

I would be interested to know what will be the transition from 0.8 to
version 1.0. There is undoubtedly some resistance to using qooxd
Hi all,
I does not know if it's interesting for you to hear my opinion as one of
the lead developers of qooxdoo. It always a bit hard to try to be
objective in my position. I will try my best ;) I should also note that
I have no strong knowledge using ExtJs so I may be wrong with some facts.

Hi all,
just wanna throw in a few thoughts on this topic. Generally, all
frameworks have their merits and drawbacks, and it's a good idea to
evaluate them from the perspective of what you want to achieve and what
your preferences are. The focus for qooxdoo was always what you might

Thanks for the detailed responses all.
I agree that I hope 0.8 brings UI capabilities closer.
The samples on the extjs homepage do look nice such as the web desktop and

Hi John,
I'm using qooxdoo since v0.6 and ExtJS since v2.0 and these 2 UI frameworks
have both advantages and inconvenients in my point of view. My main work is
to build quickly AJAX apps with php backend using JSON and build rich UI
