I'm seeing lots of the messages listed below in my qpsmtpd log.
Any idea what causes this?

It will set the loglevel which denylog uses to log. This is because you
normally have the loglevel on a rather high level because you do not
want all the trash in the logfile. So denylog must log at a high level
too, to appear in the logfile.

As this is a plugin for the deny chain, and is independent of other
plugins (you probably don't have another deny chain plugin anyway),
it does not matter.
I've always felt that the stock config/plugins file order is not
