I forgot to mention that we are using an old distribution (4.5.2_01) and have
not been building it ourselves.

The squish team thought that valgrind may help pinpoint the problem, but I
didn't want to try going
there unless I knew it was possible to run Qt Jambi apps under valgrind.

My Windows 7 machine had to be reimaged, but all my data is OK. It was working
before the reimage.
