For those of you that use a lift system, what do you have and recommend? I'm
5'8" 150 With this hoyer, the bad one, I have always hit my feet on the bar.
What would I look for in the description to get one that has a longer boom? And
is the boom the arm's length? Bobbie

My hoyer has a hand pump. Last week it started not going as high and was making
a "different" sound.
I'm not taking any chances, so , like I said, I'm renting a hoyer until I get a
new one. It going to cost mr $120 per month. Bobbie

Some models of Hoyer may have a motor, but most use the hydraulic cylinder
to actuate the lift arm. A further explanation by Bobbie, might help.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Hoyer lifts
Hi All,
My hoyer lift is not going as
A Hoyer lift uses a hydraulic cylinder to lift the main arm bar. Over
many seasons of use, the seal, dries out and starts to fail by not lifting as
high as it once did. Sometimes the cylinder can be rebuilt by a speciality
company. Most times its just easier to replace it.
