Nan, I wish I knew solution to your problem. I received my mattress, when I was on Blue Cross Blue Shield, not Medicare. That was about 10 years ago. I don't know if another way to get a special low air loss mattress without a sore. They do not want to prevent sores. I had a friend on the list
