I don't like my head covered, but pull the blankets over my ears and eyes.
I use a spring clip to clip the blanket to my bottom sheet, other wise as I move around, if slides down.
I sleep slightly turned and can get my top arm uncovered and sometimes covered back up. Having it clpped helps.

This may not work for you Danny but the C4-5 quad I worked for has a T- shaped
microphone stand with a tripod base that holds a water valve next to his mouth.
It's cumbersome but it was already in place to hold his microphone which is
kept about 1/2 an inch from his mouth while in bed to cont
