Peter, I currently use an x 10 system. It is a simple and basic system. The plug of the appliance you want to control is plugged into a module which is plugged into your regular outlet than you can control that appliance using a control box allowing you to shut it off and on. The control box

Could somebody give me some information about an environmental control unit? I'm looking for something very basic, and not expensive. Preferably, one that is operated from the personal computer. I heard some time back that there was some software geared towards an ECU. I'm only looking for
