I am the ambassador for the Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion representing the City of Oshawa. The 3rd annual Wheels In Motion will be held in over 200 communities across Canada on Sunday, June 12, 2005. Participants of all ages and abilities will wheel, bike, skate, run, or walk to raise funds and awareness for people with a spinal cord injury. This event will be held at the Civic Auditorium, registration is at 12:30 and it starts at 1 p.m. and everyone is welcome to come and participate. There will be fun for everyone of all ages!
A spinal cord injury can happen to anyone at anytime. When people participate, they contribute to a new possibility for every man, woman and child who is currently living with a spinal cord injury such as myself.
For your information 50% of the net proceeds from this event will be directed to priority projects within the community to improve the quality of life of people living with a spinal cord injury. The remaining 50% net proceeds will be directed to research for spinal cord injury.
