If you are seeing whitish material it is probably mucas and nothing to 
worry about. Stones would be dark and sink to the bottom.

Being a paraplegic you have use of your arms, you need to start doing 
regular pressure releases (about every 7-10 minutes or so) by using 
your arms to push down on either your tires or your wheelchair armrests 
to raise your bottom up off your cushion so that blood can flow freely. 
It is also good exercise, hold yourself up for 15-30 sec (you could try 
leaning from side to side often too). You will find this becomes a 
natural habit very quickly.

Can you put a thin foam pillow or cushion on the tube?
Do you keep it only partialy inflated (not to hard)?
