Footwear and shoes will vary among the sexes. You won't see me wearing high 
heels, thank you. (lol)
For a few, footwear is not a major issue, but for many others, it has to be 
just
right.  Often, as the day wears on, so may the footwear due to foot swelling 
or sweating.  Hence, it really becomes an individual thang as to what to wear.
The tennis shoes become the easiest, but not necessarily the best.
Footwear that breathes is important and not too tight.
