Skype rocks!!! I use all the time with my mom in az. So that she can see my
grandson, in pa. we use the video call.

Well, you're not going to believe this one... the brand new caregiver I was
going to get the second phone for the next two nights ago and died. So I'm back
to needing only one phone. With that in mind, what's the best, most affordable
plan out there that doesn't dropped calls?

I know it's not portable but for a second or back up phone have you
tried Skype? For $2.45 a month (cheaper if you subscribe for multiple
months) you can call anyone in US or Canada for absolutely nothing.
