That is correct. For each 1" of rise, you need 12" of extension. But you must also consider the width of that ramp, as well as the turns and the stops in case of a run away manual chair. Do you know the actual height at this point? Remember that these standards were designed for someone, anyo

A LOCAL CHURCH CONTACTED ME ABOUT THE CORREFT GRADE FOR A WHEELCHAIR RAMP.  ISN'T IT 12" FOR EACH INCH OF HEIGHT?   WHAT WEBSITE WOULD HAVE THIS SO THEY CAN GO BY REGULATIONS?   NICKI
