Hey Dave, I've been using an 18 for two years. Suddenly, it wouldn't go in. I've gone down to a 14 and switched from red rubber to a more rigid plastic. Things seem to be working quite a bit better now. I think the 18 was causing irritation and swelling and was the source of my problem. Thanks f
