Very simple, until you had it fully energized it would still think you had the same problem. I can tell all there are codes in the August issue of Macaddit that if I can remember I'll post them later. Of the codes only one means you have a pos mac. So give me time to refind it and I will post.

Okay. I dismantled the 840, popped out all the RAM memory and cleaned the tin contacts with alcohol; did the same for the VRAM, and replaced the PRAM battery. Checked and double checked all connections on the mobo and HDD while I was in there. On startup, I initially got the "sad Mac" "au
