Put a new rotor arm on - the old one was quite badly burnt. Also went
back to basics with the carb set up and made sure the throttle cable
was correctly adjusted Now running very nicely and ticking over at

Eddie,
If you can scan it and email to me, I'll ask QSC if I can host this in the
members only area of the club website, as it's useful reference material.

H4 build manual (Aug 1998 edition, page 31.110 ) contains a letter to Mark
Wooldridge from VI Swansea ref door window glass on Saloon, 2+2 and H4.
Think I also have letter from manufacturer of rear screen somewhere.
Both were accepted as enough evidence by Beverly SVA centre in 2002

Hello,
Just thought I'd mention in reply to your salvage point. If anyone else
gets a car written off for insurance purposes, if you don't want the salvage
then please offer them up on the forum. They make excellent donors for
other kit cars (strangely enough!), or can be repaired sometimes dep
I seem to remember that the letter on windows was related to the heated rear
window as this was specifically made for the H4 despite looking to be the
double of an Austin Metropolitan rear screen. Not sure whether I still have
mine or whether the SVA man kept it - will try and find it in the ar
I may well need that for my 2+2 if you'd be so kind

Hi Sam, I still have a copy of the letter about the window marks that
Quantum sent me for my 2+2 sva last year. I can email you a copy if
you havn't already got one. It got my car through the window bit with
no questions asked.
Best of luck

Old Quantum supplied me with a letter about using the original E marked side
windows from the Fiesta, which was enough for the SVA man. Otherwise all
the advice you've received so far is sound.
Good luck!

Hi Gary
Thank you. The owner has e-mailed me, but sadly is asking a silly
price for it, without any mot or tax.
On the club site, for what he wants, I could get another car ready to
drive away, so I think thats what I might do.

Good tips from Hamish - I too had problems with the brakes and the
seatbelt heights being marginal with the wingback seats, but the
testers decided that the belt was designed to go over the wing and
that was ok height wise. I had to remove the seatbelts from the rear
bench as it was considered in
Dear All,
You may remember me telling you back in June '08 about my accident in
the Xtreme that resulted in it being written off.
It took me nearly 6 months of arguing with the Insurer before they
reluctantly agreed to let me buy the car back for salvage.
Unfortunately, due to time and cost of re

I do too, so if you don't get a "thanks" message from me then I
probably haven't received it. Mind you, if I have a
Sam,
The good news is that the car is designed to pass without problems provided
nothing too adventurous has been added.
My H4 did not pass first time for two reasons:

never really been cured but sealing each joint on
