Did you let the ecu calibrate itself when you first started it ?
You need to start it from cold, don't touch the throttle and let the engine
warm up on idle until the fan cuts it.
If you need to reset it then pull the ECU continuous feed fuse for 30 seconds
and then refit, this will clear the ec
I haven't changed the AFM, the correct one I had has disappeared, I assume from
your question that there is a difference between the two. Apart from the idle
the car goes like a rocket. scary quick.

Yes, they are different.
If you don't have the correct one, unplug the AFM, reset the ecu and let it
relearn without the AFM.
My Mondeo runs quite happily without the AFM, it just uses the throttle
position and engine speed to work out fuelling.

I was planning to do Cadwell in August but plans have changed and have
now booked a track day at the new Blyton Park circuit near
Gainsboropugh for £129 on Saturday 23rd July. Looks a tight circuit
at 1.6 miles ideal for a Quantum with plenty of run off - ideal for
