I've just had a look through the manual - and It doesn't seem to mention

a look and ordered something in.. I never did get a part number tho!

from a Rover dealer.
I've a vague recollection of Sherpa balljoints but that may have been
from "How to build your own sports car for Ł250" rather than the Xtreme.

section it mentions the balljoints are "Austin Princess and Metro"

I assumed we were talking about the upper and lower balljoints that
connect the wishbones to the front hub carrier.

ah and there was me going on about the one at the end of the track rod...
which you will probably need to correct me as I should be calling that the
track rod end rather than a ball joint :)
