This has progressively got worse; before it only happened after I put my foot down hard. Has anybody experienced a similar problem? My carbs run well; ggod performance just not so good on fuel consumption! I dont visibly see any gaskets leaking, is there possibly a blockage somewhere? Are there any

Check the ignition timing. You will be amazed the difference that an inaccuracy of only a couple of degrees retarded makes to low-throttle responsiveness and, especially, fuel economy. You won't have noticed the reduction in responsiveness because it happens slowly. Presumably you have set the
