I had a thought last night as I was towing by big trailer back from
Cambridge, does anyone know of a bolt on air suspension kit that would
replace/add to the rear shocks on the saloon?
It would be nice if the car ran level when towing!
Auto height adjusting would be good too.

The range rover uses some air springs which might be adapted. The old mercedes
touring used the oil system from Citroën to assist normal springs. Then there
is the ail/air Citroën system. Of course all would need to be adapted but
might give you some ideas when looking down the scrappie :-)

There seems to be a lot of air suspension stuff for VW's for some reason.
For a car without the spring over the shock like the rear on the saloon
then they should be fairly easy to fit.
