Thanks Tony! My browser was showing huge empty boxes where the
pictures should be. Sorted - that looks like an excellent mod. I'm fed
up having to try and shove the pedal through the bulkhead just to get
a reasonably clean gear change (and Anita still can't get the thing
out of fifth half the time

No, I don't believe so. The biting point is in the last inch or two,
but it is driveable. I haven't had a chance to take a look this time,
but if it's the same as last time the little spring clip that holds the
adjuster against the rawl has slipped off somehow...

I've never had one go so you are obviously making up for that.
Is it possible the clutch lever on the gearbox is hitting the gearbox
before the pedal hits it's stop, that would put a lot of extra force on
the rachet.
On mine and Matthews Zetec gearboxs i had to fit the gearbox lever 1
spline fu
