Indeed they do, but I submit that the main buyers of built kit cars
are looking either for cheap and cheerful, or manufacturer built.

are two markets.
The people that want a slashtop for the summer are looking mostly at a
cheap MX5 or MGB or one or two others - available for a grand or so,
