www.superflex.co.uk as we have been rebuilding the MK1 with polybushes.

Flo-flex definitely do them as well as full sets for the car, you can find them
on EBay.

partsuppliers tell me my car is too old.
Parts out of stock and not a regular anylonger. You should look at clubs and
otherwise, you can try the UK.

have you tried a small local auto factor type shop?
the one near me, gets out a big book, finds the part and orders it from the
manufacturer probably.. no doubt a copy part, rather than original but
still.
