This looks like what you want:
My use-case for Qubes is largely to help segment my work/personal systems
as well as allow me to run VMs for development. That second part is a bit
of a challenge, though. By design, whenever I spin up a new VM, I have to
explicitly allow ports between the VM and my existing systems. I 100%

Thanks Sven
To attach the entire usb controller is that via qubes settings>devices?
I'm not near qubes just now. I am thinking of the box where there is the
list of devices on the left that has a number of usb controllers. Am I in
the right spot?
Thanks

I installed Ubuntu as a HVM and had to muck around with the disc it
installed on as I said (xvda/xvdb etc). Some worked some didn't.
With regards to resolution I did try from within Ubuntu but the maximum
resolution was I think 800X600 which is tiny and it didn't give me any more
options. Sup
Fyi:
It seems that even with Firefox 74 addon updating via sideloading still
works.
Initial installation probably doesn't.
I don't get that latter point as the initial installation did generate a
popup ("Do you want to activate the newly installed addon XYZ?") even
before 74, but oh well...
Hi, my previous post was perhaps inappropriate in that i mixed posts so

I have successfully installed win7 and things work perfectly, well almost.
For some reason I can't connect a usb to it. When I try it will tell me
that it has (which it hasn't) and then I will get the following error
message":
"Error: QubesVMError Domain Win7: grexec: not connected"

Good luck with this. I have managed to install Ubuntu but you only get a
small window (which apparently is fixable but I didn't go there).
Networking is difficult and I could never get it to recognise my wifi
adapter. You could always try and install an Ubuntu template from here:

How to get Ubuntu 18.04 running in a HVM with a GUI desktop in Qubes OS
4.0.3 ?
I hope to get an answer from the Qubes OS users who have experience in
using Ubuntu in Qubes OS.
I got this error since the first time I restarted the HVM after the
installation of Ubuntu 18.04:

Bisq package is at that time neither available from packages.debian.org
nor deb.whonix.org. It's a third party package.
Same would happen in Debian. Therefore this isn't a Whonix related issue
either.
Whonix only happens to provide instructions on how to install Bisq
despite some issues wh
