I installed Qubes in the past on a x230 tablet and it worked.
You should select legacy boot and virtualization in BIOS.

intique-timeout before exiting to the dracut emergency console & outputting
/dev/root does not exist. Everything I read said x230's are compatible,

My 2 cents here: on such a new system, you should probably install
kernel-latest and also latest vm kernel right away. It is well documented on
qubes doc.
