Before installing 4.0rc2, I did a backup of my VM's from 3.2. I've started restoring them one-by-one and for the most part is has been a reasonably painless operation.
However, when I tried to restore the "ssh" VM, I got the following error: qubesadmin.backup: -> Restoring ssh... qubesadmin.backup: Extracting data: 105.4 MiB to restore qubesadmin.backup: Error extracting data: retrieved backup size exceed expected size, if you believe this is ok, use --ignore-size-limit option qubesadmin.backup: Continuing anyway to restore at least some VMs qubesadmin.backup: -> Done. Please install updates for all the restored templates After this, I have an "ssh" VM, but it's empty. Or rather, it contains the default content as if I had manually created a new VM based on some template. I then deleted the "ssh" VM and restored using the --ignore-size-limit flag. The output was different, but the end result was the same: qubesadmin.backup: -> Restoring ssh... qubesadmin.backup: Extracting data: 0 to restore qubesadmin.backup: -> Done. Please install updates for all the restored templates Again, the "ssh" VM was created, but it just contained the default content just as in the first case. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "qubes-users" group.
