For me, tor works fine when sys-whonix is connected to sys-firewall, which is 
in turn connected to sys-net. If you want to use both network connections, you 
can probably also create a second sys-net and sys-firewall pair for the second 
(Verizon) network adapter.
VPN info should be entered in the sys-net VM.
