0.1s is not good at all, with ntpd you should be as close as a few
milliseconds to UTC. It doesn't surprise me that ntpd doesn't enlarge
the poll interval.

My ntpd has been running for a week now and is still polling every 64s
(using the default config from Macports, so no minpoll set).
Offset has been as low as .1s, currently is 1.5
Version is 4.2.8p2.
Shouldn't it be polling less frequently by now?
