as far as I know (and I am not a specialist), there is no way of
importing EPS in word, nor in openoffice, if you want to be able to
see the graphics in the word processor and not only a placeholder. So
either
a) use formats such as bmp, png,
or
b) under windows: convert eps to e.g. wmf using a
