A good solution could be using regression kriging with current altitude map as
covariate.

Hi everyone,I'm looking for a method to downscale a 250x250 km wide resolution
altitudemap of the past (about 3 million years ago) to a finer resolution. I
would the spatialstructure of the downscaled map to resemble the actual
altitude. Is there a way?Thank you,Francesco. Dr. Francesco

I can write some lines to automatically select only the regions hosting the
data points, keeping
out useless territories. Thanks so much for the help and the patience.

You need to use instead the column range that contains the bounding box
coordinates.
In details :
mass.map$range[1:2] # from 1 to 2 for the x range
mass.map$range[3:4] # from 3 to 4 for the x range

is transformed into a binary one (TRUE/FALSE)
and used in the interpolation process.
I used a similar procedure with the function âautoKrigeâ
in automap and got the prediction map with no error message.
I suppose everything went well

Dear list,
What parameter set allows one to perform automatically Indicator Kriging in

Hi, is there a way to convert an ashape object (object class of package
alphahull) into a spatial polygon? I need only the alpha hull object (the
external contour) and not the delaunay triangles. If not, is there a way to
simply create a single spatial polygon from a matrix containing xy

Hi to all. Is there a way to perform regression kriging (kriging with external
