I read Rnews_2005-2.pdf and I can't do the test. For instance, on page 10: maptools and sp are active, > fname = system.file("shapes/sids.shp", package="maptools") > p4s = CRS("+proj=longlat +datum=NAD27") > nc = readShapePoly(fname, proj4string=p4s) > plot(nc, axes = TRUE, col=grey(1-nc$S

Hello. In some "geo-spatial analysis" text books & articles, "boundary effect" was referred. For spatial weight matrix and its related statistical methods, this issue is very important, I think. For this issue, I've looked for this in "spdep" and "spgwr" in their "manual" pdf files, but no lu

I am unsure on how to deal with this... (this is usually easy on grass), however cuz all me figs have been done in R I need to be consistent. The question is how to to get a contour plot from a SpatialPixelsDataFrame. So far I have generated I seem to be succesfully generating the plot us

Jacques, the projection functions are now in package rgdal which is on CRAN so should have Mac binaries. Look for the function spTransform. Also, an email I sent to you last night answering a question related to sp bounced; please resend the question to this list. -- Edzer pir2.jv wrote: > I t
