I wonder if this (2008/R 2.7) page could be updated with some current benchmark
runs?
Especially current Intel server chips, i9, and M1/+
I'm guessing if Simon could help upload the resulting updated page, people here
could contribute bench mark runs on different hardware.

Oops, I was going off muscle memory - I see that Quartz:Forward and Back are
set to "⌘ tab" and "⌘⇧ tab" (which can't do anything as they're captured by
the app switcher).
What are you seeing as the keys for Quartz:Forward and Quartz:Back?

Simon very kindly wrote this function a couple of years ago when I noted how
nice it would be if pressing tab on an already-completed unique name would
write a $ sign and give a drop-down of $ elements.
I'd like to improve the function so that if the completion is a function name,
then pressing

Hi,
A couple of minor suggestions for the mac GUI.
First, Help window back-forward buttons.
Often when the user has opened help, they want to navigate back a page.
Currently the back ( "<“ ) and forward ( “>”) buttons in the help window lack
key bindings. So one has to use the mouse to navigate
nything about Adobe until you

Hi,
In R.app 3.2.0, doing

R.app requests a version of Adobe Reader. I don’t have this installed, but all
OS X users have preview.app
Could the help service be coded to either:

It blows windows people away when they see the "tip bar” (the bottom bar that
shows function parameters) display all the parameters for an obscure function.
It similarly dismays mac users when it shows something un-explainatory like

I can confirm that R.app from 3.0.1 crashes on any error on Mavericks, and
3.0.2 doesn’t (for me, running on an iMac ~ 2010)
