There's now a phylogenetics task view available on CRAN -- basically, it's a brief description of what methods are available in R and in which packages. It was originally created as part of the NESCent- sponsored comparative methods in R hackathon but has recently been updated. You can direct suggestions for improvements to me. Thanks to all who helped build it in the past and to Ben Bolker and Achim Zeileis for helping to get it on CRAN.
