Hi,
I'm currently evaluating Radiator to replace our current IAS Radius.
We have a Cisco PIX which will be doing aaa against IAS & MS Active Directory, for all
HTTP requests from the INSIDE network to the Internet.
I have manage to authenticate with a very basic configuration:

Hello Peter -
Yes you should set up an SQL session database, for which you will find
details in section 6.7 of the Radiator reference manual ("doc/ref.html").
You will then be able to use the "radwho.cgi" script to view the online users.

Hello ,
I have installed radiator radius, we use database interbase to
authenticate users.
I want to check current users which connected to us, I am wandering if
we need to use:SessionDatabase SQL or not.
If yes, would you tell me how to set up the configuration file.
thanks ,

Yes, provided you have Perl and a suitable C compiler. You can find both at

Hello Michael -
A copy of the snmpwalk would be useful. I will also need to know the
Portmaster model number and the firmware/software version.
thanks

Hello Eapen -
The problem you have is due to several things.
First of all, your configuration file should be changed slightly to deal with
possibly missing attributes that are used in the calculation refered to in
the error message.
This part of the SQL statement should be changed:

Hello Wasim -
You should use the "Time " check item as described in section 13.1.13 of
the Radiator 2.19 reference manual ("doc/ref.html").

Hello Jesus -
As the AuthBy RADIUS clause operates asynchronously, you can only call a
following AuthBy clause using a ReplyHook. There is an example of how to do
this in the file "goodies/hooks.txt" in the Radiator 2.19 distribution.

Hello Simon -
You are correct - it is not possible to do this with radius.

Hello Lewis -
I will need to see a copy of your configuration file (no secrets) together
with a trace 4 debug showing what is happening.
thanks

Lewis :)
This
is done thru the statement...
defaultsimultaneoususe 1 inside the GROUPBY clauses or
AUTHBY.
Cheers!

Hello William -
I am not quite sure what you mean - can you send me a trace 4 showing what is
contained in the packets?

Hello Danny -
You can improve the IP address allocation performance in MySQL by adding a
"limit 1" to the FindQuery as described in section 6.51.5 in the Radiator
2.19 reference manual.

Hello Nick -
This is fairly standard for most NAS(s) so you should try it and see what
happens. Otherwise you should check the CVX documentation.

Can you get a user authenticating against our Radius server via the NT SAM
to change thier password as part of the authentication process if it has
expired? I suspect you can't but I'm just after a sanity check. Thanks in
advance.

Hi,
We've been having trouble with postgresql as our database for radiator/radmin. So
we've decided to switch to mysql. I'm wondering if there are some mysql guru's out
there who can give me some good tips to optimize the database tables. We've set up
indexes on all the tables/columns that are
