I have radiator 3.5 working on redhat 9. I had some trouble when I tried using the latest freetds/DBD::Sybase with both 9, 7.2, and 7.3. The problem was similar to what you are describing. I ended up backing from freetds-0.62 to freetds-0.53, and recompiling the perl Sybase module, and it
