(RADIATOR) splitting auth and acct configurations into two files

hi, i tried to split a radius.cfg file into two.. rad-auth.cfg rad-acct.cfg but couldn't do so successfully :( any suggestions what could have went wrong? but everything works quiet ok when i merge them back into one :) -- rad-auth.cfg -- LogDir /usr/local/etc/raddb/logdir
