It is usually easier to do this sort of thing with Handlers instead of Realms.
Something like this:
# define separate Handlers for accounting and authentication
# do accounting
.
# do authentication
.

I have Realms authenticated by LDAP
For that I use the rewriteUsername feature.
My problem is that in the accounting logs I don't have the field
"login@realm" but only "login"
