Will this functionality extend to the boom or will this be the same as
the boom?
The current boom functionality is the not connected alarm plays a wav
file for one minute and then quits, which wasn't enough to wake me up
when my server crashed.

That is a SoftSqueeze only problem as Softsqueeze
That works fine on the Boom.

I am very interested in this radio, particularly I would like to use it
as a stand alone radio (no PC connection).
Can anyone confirm me that the only format supported internally by the
