Just got my red Squeezebox Radio (love it!) and it's been a number of
years since I've messed with slimserver (I had a Roku way back when).
Anyhow, I see a number of plugins for the older Slim products, but
which ones are compatible with the Radio (if not all)?
I specifically want to find an alt
please also do so.

I was quite disappointed when I first tried the SqueezePlay desktop
application and found that the cover size on the Radio would only be
about 1" on an already tiny screen, and that was one of several reasons
why I did not buy one in the end.
Now it finally looks the way it has always been advert
I have the "sync volume" option enabled and want both devices to
synchronously change volume so if he turns down one the other will go
down, too.
Just like with the Sonos.
Now with SB you can only adjust the absolute volume level and on the
Radio you have no other preamp to change gain in between.
Yes, I understand all that. I suggest you add your data and vote to the
enhancement request, or if one does not already exist, then create one.
Items in bugs.slimdevices.com get more systematic attention from the
developers than forum posts do.

Hl I spent hours copying and pasting urls to favorites. Thought they
would be there but they are not. I even pushed big knob and added that
way ,while playing. Course I was on that library connected to computer.
Duh. Wasted hours. I am fuming.
So now I log into my squeezebox.com and type
I'm sure you're frustrated, but I find it pretty much impossible to
understand exactly what you have done, so there's not much I can offer
in the way of advice. If you slow down and describe more carefully what
you are doing (connected to which server, filling in which fields,
clicking which butto
If you don't find Settings->Advanced->Applet Installer, then
1) reboot your radio (long hold the power button)
Sometimes the Applet-Installer menu just disappears and reappears after
a fresh boot. Don't know why.
2) If that doesn't help, go to Settings->Home Menu.
You will find the Applet Instal
I thought I explained. Can you reread my post I edited it I am logged
into squeezebox.com. Uner "favorites" tab. Nothing is happening when I
put in the shoutcast URL. then when I click "ADD" nothing. It only
shows my Favorites I added yesterday while they were playing. Like I

Is that why I cant save on My squeezebox.com . Like
"http://74.202.111.231:2562 " It a Michel Rivera show last

I'm not aware of a maximum but I wouldn't be surprised if the web
interface for managing favorites does have a maximum. It would help to
know how many you have in the list now. I just tried adding that URL to
the favorites on MySB and it added it to the bottom of the list. I have
about 90 stations
It was working pretty well for about a week, but now it's completely
unreliable. I can't keep a wireless connection for more than an hour,
and when it goes out, it can fail for a couple minutes, or hours.
I have a wireless router within 15 feet of it now, and it still won't
work.
If I hard wire
Now Do I have to do a search on "shoutcast" on my squeezebox radio for
each program I want to add to favorites???
I dont see a way to sign in on Shoutcast and add favorites that way
Please explain???
Thanks agin all and for your patience

I have. I also have other devices connected wirelessly that continue to
work fine.
I have a D-Link DIR-625.
Further testing shows that the SB Radio will only connect consistently
using no security at all. As soon as I turn on WPA-Personal, it fails
regularly.
Any thoughts? I obviously can't
Are you adding how Now. the only way I could save and play on my
radio was thru going into showcast from my actual radio and doing a
search. Adding it by pushing "'more" button and adding to favorites
that way

I added it just the way you described in posts #10 and #12 of this
thread:
1. login to mysqueezebox.com
2. select Favorites tab
3. under "Add Favorite" put a name in the Title box (I used "test")
4. paste URL in the URL box (I copied the URL you gave directly from
your post - http://74.202.111.231

No, that's not what it says at all. It lists what combinations of SB
devices and wifi routers *users have reported* as working successfully.
The SB Radio has been around for about a month, and probably no one has

and, again, I still don't see how you can maintain a connection to
MySB.com via wireless, but not to your local server unless:
a) Your router is seriously braindamaged regarding local traffic but
works fine with internet traffic. (Not the wireless part itself,
but
the routing part of the router.
I tried over and over .even tried a 2nd url for the same
program...no go
Now I did have it in my favorites earlier. When tried playing. It said
not found. So I removed it. The options were "from playlist" Not remove

Now I cant find it on my favoites on my actual squeezebox radi
I have the same problem. The time counter does progress as if the music
is playing. I have noted that some stations do work, but most of them
do not. The ones that do not, seem to locate the stream, but then do
not buffer, just act like the music is playing with the time counter
going but no mu
My Squeezeboxes, including the Radio model have been working fine with
WPA2 encryption on my Netgear and Dlink routers.
You could always try switching the encryption method from WPA to WEP or
WPA2 to see if one works and others don't.
Do you have the very latest firmware for your model router?
I use the Dlink dir-635 model (very similar to yours) and it works fine.
2 story house.40 plus feet router from player.
WPA-personal is what you should be using. Make sure the firmware for
the router is updated.
Now.I am using a Squeezebox 3 and not the radio so.
Have you played
I've had problems in the past where some devices just don't want to work
even though others work fine, and it's always come down to
interference.
Try turning off cordless phones, microwaves, etc and try some different
channel settings on your access point.

I really want to listen to 93.5 KDAY (LA) on my radio. I cannot find
the address to listen. The website leads you to the following flash
player:
http://player.streamtheworld.com/liveplayer.php?CALLSIGN=KDAYFM
URL Sniffer gives me the following three urls, none of which lead to
the streaming ad
Try:
Internet Radio -> Search -> KDAY
It came up for me as:

I've had my SB Radio for about a month now and am thoroughly enjoying
it, despite it's many quirks--even on it's worst day it is s much
better than my old Sangean. Being new to the squeezebox line of
products, I'm finding myself more and more puzzled about the two
connection options. The radio
No interference...
But I upgraded the firmware from 3.06 to 3.08, and now it seems to be
working fine. Nothing in 3.08 release notes indicates a "fix", but
whatever - at least it seems to be working reliably now!
I've rebooted the Radio a couple of times, and it immediately
reconnected. I've
